Information we use
MechFinder uses your name, contact number, motorcycle details, and the location you submit to create and manage a repair request. Account email and password are used to authenticate your account. Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, not readable text.
How information is shared
Request details and contact information are shared only with the repair shop and mechanic handling your request. Location is used to locate and route assistance. We do not sell personal information.
Location and maps
Location is requested by your browser only when you choose to allow it. Google Maps or other map providers may process map and location data under their own privacy terms when their services are enabled.
Your choices
You can decline location permission, update your profile where available, and request an account or data review through the MechFinder administrator. Keep your account credentials private and contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.
Security
We use access controls, password hashing, HTTPS-only protections when the site is served over HTTPS, and request rate limits. No security measure is absolute; please report suspected issues promptly.
Retention and contact
We retain account, request, and service records only for as long as needed to operate MechFinder, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. To ask about your data or this policy, contact the MechFinder administrator through the platform.
